About this event

Being able to interact with people from all backgrounds is an invaluable life skill for young people to develop. A diverse curriculum ensures all people are viewed with respect and as equals, making it a vital part of every school. This CPD programme strives to equip teachers and school leaders with the knowledge and confidence to diversify their school curriculums.

Over three, two-hour online workshops, we’ll provide you with strategies for talking confidently about race, while offering you some content and curriculum ideas for weaving in greater representation.

You’ll also have the opportunity to discuss issues and reflect on your own experiences with other teachers and professionals.

Please note: You must be available to attend all three sessions when booking.

These workshops will be delivered by Vanesa Mudd, along with guest speakers. Vanessa is a former teacher with experience across many different schools including those in rural and urban settings, as well as schools classed from Outstanding to Special Measures. As a freelancer, she has worked with many organisations in Leeds including Heritage Corner, GCF and IVE.
