About this event

Developing children and young people’s metacognition and self-regulation has the highest impact on attainment, according to the Education Endowment Foundation, with up to 8 months of additional progress.

This free, online CPD programme will support teachers from primary settings in unlocking the creative mindset of their pupils.

Over the course of three online workshops, we’ll review:

• The creative process
• How critical thinking is essential to translating ideas into solutions
• How to utilise arts and culture to inspire creativity in your classroom
• How to develop independent learning and develop greater metacognition in your students

Throughout these sessions, we’ll form a peer learning community, where colleagues can share their experiences and challenges in a supportive environment.

Course dates:

• Session 1: 3.45 – 5.15, Wednesday 25 May 2022
• Session 2: 3.45 – 5.15, Thursday 16 June 2022
• Session 3: 3.45 – 5.15, Wednesday 13 July 2022

Please note: You must be available to attend all three dates when registering for this programme.

Suitable for: Primary teachers in Yorkshire and Humber schools and settings.
