Apprenticeship standards to build a creative nation that embraces change
We’ve launched a range of apprenticeship training with unique curriculum, focussed on developing the future-ready skills that business will require to navigate the demands of a fast-changing world. IVE currently offer Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager, and Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor apprenticeships, and will look to expand the standards offered in future.
The Level 5 programme equips managers with the skills, knowledge and competencies they need to lead, motivate and manage teams effectively; developing highly productive workplace environments that plan for change and have a culture of innovation at their core. The programme aims to support businesses to retain and develop their employees. Large employers can use their apprenticeship levy to pay for training for existing and new members of staff, while small and medium enterprises can benefit from government funding or levy transfers to support training costs. In addition, recognising the financial challenges facing employers, the government’s ‘Plan for Jobs’ can provide wage support for new hires.
Chris Strong, director of skills and employability at IVE, said: “We’ve designed our curriculum to provide training in grounded leadership and management theory whilst recognising the breadth of challenge and opportunity all sectors face in the road ahead. That’s why our course also develops the skills needed to foster an innovation culture, and to manage organisational change and stakeholder relationships that lead to creative collaborations.”
