IVE Micro-commissions – Round 4

5th October 2022 - Sharon Rugg

We are delighted to launch our fourth round of R&D micro-commissions for creative practitioners who work with children and young people.

Our micro-commissions offer you time and space to develop new approaches and new thinking in your creative practice. They are designed to help you explore creative solutions to current challenges and expand your offer for children and young people.

This time, we are interested in applications on one or more of the following themes

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

We are offering FREE CPD for the creative sector, in conjunction with 2 out of our 3 themes.  Please visit our events page here to sign up.

What is the fund for?

The micro commission aims to give you space to research and develop your creative practice to create innovative products or services that you can offer both in and out of formal education. We’re looking for imaginative and innovative ideas that offer meaningful engagement and interaction.

Here’s the criteria

Budget

£800, paid in two instalments. You can use the funding to support your own time, pay for mentoring from experts in the field, materials and/or resources. We encourage you to test out your new ideas as part of the process. If you need advice or support with finding a suitable partner or group, please let us know.

Support

If there are further support measures we can put in place to make the process more accessible for you, please contact Lisa on lisa.turney@weareive.org or 07710 700 937.

How to apply
We aim to be inclusive to everyone and offer a range of options for your application. You can:

If you would prefer to submit a short video or audio/voice recording instead of a written application form, please answer the same questions outlined in the written application form. The video/audio recording should be no longer than 3 minutes: please email to evie@weareive.org or upload via WeTransfer.  Remember to change the privacy settings or let us know the password if there is one.  Please contact us if you feel there is an application process we have not considered.

IVE actively seeks and encourages applications from creative practitioners from diverse backgrounds.

*Completion of the equality & diversity form is voluntary and anonymous. We are keen to reach a broader audience and are collating this anonymous data to ensure that our application process is equitable and reaching underrepresented groups.  Completion of the anonymous form does not bear any influence on the outcome of your application.  Information submitted will be held for evaluation and analysis, to inform how we are reaching our audiences and will be deleted by March 2023.
