Angie Hardwick is a freelance Visual Artist based in Sheffield. She specialises in ceramics and delivers high quality engaging workshops and bespoke art projects to all ages and abilities.
Angie has many years experience embedding creative experience’s, in both formal educational settings and within the local community.
Ange Made Ceramics is supporting Artsmark schools and those signed up to the Artsmark network by offering engaging, creative visual arts workshops.
Half Day workshop starts at £100
Full Day workshop starts at £200
All equipment provided. Additional cost may include planning and preparation time, materials firing and travel costs. Schools in the South Yorkshire area will not incur travel expenses.
Ideal group size is 15 participants. Workshops can be divided into shorter sessions to accommodate more students if needed. The Artist can work with full class groups if supported and extra equipment is provided.
Angie Hardwick is a freelance Visual Artist, she is experienced in devising, authentic bespoke workshop or projects to coincide with curriculum themes and can tailor sessions to individual specifications ensuring a positive inclusive experience for all involved.
Angie specialises in Ceramics but has vast experienced in a wide range of materials. Actively involving young people and teachers in the production of exciting, innovative large scale sculpture embedding a sense of belonging and ownership.
Angie has worked with a range of groups with varying ages and abilities from primary school pupils through to university students. She is also experienced in delivering CPD sessions and can offer support to staff, developing skills and techniques enabling confidence and personal progression.
As part of the Arts Award programme Angie has also delivered inspiring workshops, demonstrations and presentations on being a Visual Artist and her practice. Supporting young people on their Discover and Explore and Bronze and Silver Arts Award journey.
Ceramic Workshop Examples:-
Primary Schools- Greek pots using coils. Tile making using imprinting and applied techniques. Portraiture using modelling skills and animal creations from pinch pots.
Secondary Schools- Kandinsky Vases and Joseph Cornell memory boxes using slab building techniques. Sea life sculptures/vessels based on Kate Malone, Natural form projects based on surface texture. 2D and 3D work based on buildings and architecture.
