Concrete Youth

Concrete Youth is an award-winning, Hull-based theatre company dedicated to creating ground-breaking and exciting multi-sensory theatre for audiences living with profound multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). We are an innovative company who is always striving to make your experience of theatre inclusive, exciting and unforgettable.

**WINTER WONDERLAND! 2020-2021 ** 

Winter Wonderland has been presented in partnership with Hull New Theatre, it’s a new, online, multi-sensory show for audiences with profound and multiple learning disabilities. Winter Wonderland is a pre-recorded show that will be available for months to come after it is released Friday 18 December 2020.

For schools, we can offer exclusive early access for the show, so they can watch the show as a Christmas treat for the last day of term before Christmas.

You will then be prompted to apply a code, please should enter the code WONDERLAND. You will then be able to purchase tickets.

All of Concrete Youth’s work is performed in an accessible, calm and immersive environment, complemented with live music, signing, Makaton, chill-out rooms, limited audience capacity and much more. So far, hundreds of audiences across five continents have enjoyed Concrete Youth’s beautiful sensory work, as well as countless students at special needs schools throughout the UK.

Partnered with Artsmark, our education department provides excellent bespoke workshops, weekly after-school clubs, private and group sensory stories. All facilitators are DBS-cleared, qualified, industry professional with specific qualifications and expertise in sensory play and special arts education.

Concrete Youth’s services can be accessed both physically and virtually. All of Concrete Youth’s facilitators are DBS-cleared, qualified, industry professional with specific qualifications and expertise in sensory play and special arts education.

Concrete Youth base all of their work with Artsmark settings on the seven quality principles: striving for excellence, being Authentic, being exciting, ensuring an inclusive experience, actively involving children and young people, enabling personal progression, developing belonging and ownership.

Concrete Youth and Covid-19 update:

At the moment, our activities are undertaken in alignment with individual school’s policies and procedures. We are able to attend schools and education settings, if that specific setting allow external visitors, we are able to visit, with rigorous safety procedures in place, such as: staff using facial visors, social distancing enforcement, one way systems, enhanced cleaning procedures, and much more to ensure the safety of our staff and participants.
