darts is an award winning team of artists, makers, musicians, performers and support staff who collaborate to design and deliver creative programmes which inspire learning, build good emotional health and strengthen professional practice for people of all ages who live, work or learn in Doncaster.
Our home, The Point, is a friendly and welcoming place which is open to all and is where we make and share art. We carry this ethos to all our creative workshops across Doncaster.
We have over 25 years’ experience in Doncaster, we know the area and how taking part in enjoyable creative activity helps communities and individuals fulfil their potential by making positive changes, big and small, over the short and long term.
Our mission is to create art with people in Doncaster to improve life, learning and health
We work with schools in a variety of ways, from pupils visiting The Point for gallery visits and art workshops to our artists leading workshops in the classroom. We love working with children of all ages and abilities and working alongside teaching staff to deliver rich, diverse, high quality artistic experiences.
darts runs the Doncaster Primary Arts Network- we meet 3 times a year to share ideas, access practical training sessions from artists and creative practitioners.
There is a clear offer for schools to book artist led workshops or free teacher led visits to The Point with resources linked to our exhibitions.
When we’re working in schools we’ll support teachers to deliver arts activities with training, modelled clear approaches in the classroom and high quality teaching resources to support Creative Classrooms.
We offer Arts Award provision as part of projects.
We support the development of the Doncaster Arts Award pathway through Doncaster Cultural Education Partnership.
