Rhythm Stick Drumming’s hands-on percussion workshops teach participants to bang out beautiful world rhythms and create their own thumping compositions. These energetic, supportive drum sessions give participants an understanding of rhythm and music, working together as a team to produce one amazing groove.
After leading drum workshops for 18 years our Community Percussionist, Katie Mallard, has developed a teaching style that is energetic and compassionate, allowing participants to really develop their skills and let themselves go to enjoy the rhythms.

“I booked Katie to deliver one of her workshops in my school as part of a topic on Samba and Carnival Sounds, and I cannot recommend her highly enough! The workshop was engaging and accessible for all pupils, including those with additional needs, and Katie’s lively and enthusiastic manner meant that the children were both supported and challenged throughout.”
