Square Chapel Arts Centre is a performing arts venue in the centre of Halifax, West Yorkshire, offering a professional programme of theatre, dance, music, comedy and spoken word. A well-established community outreach programme aims to increase access to the arts through targeted work with a particular focus on people living in Calderdale; this includes a schools programme, activities for children and young people, activities for older people and specific projects for people with learning disabilities. Square Chapel delivers funded programmes for children and young people living in Calderdale, including the Open Door schools programme, Go See (subsidised theatre tickets for Under 25’s), Rock School, Youth Theatre and programmes of work in partnership with Calderdale Youth Service.
