Workshops cost £280 + travel for a full day of up to 8 hours for Artsmark schools (5 hours for non-Artsmark schools). We recommend these are broken into several sessions across groups of up to 30 children for 60-90 minutes.
Pupils will learn about poetic devices and the benefits of creativity as well as technical rap skills and creative writing.
The sessions are inclusive and pupils of all abilities can take part. The workshops encourage a
supportive environment with a positive focus on self-expression and students are encouraged to write and rap about subjects they care about. Everyone will have the opportunity to perform, should they choose to.
We provide tailored workshops for SEN schools which are more of a rap-themed music session with less focus on literacy or writing. We can tailor our workshops to your requirements and are happy to conduct full-school or full-year assemblies either at the start of the day or as a performance showcase at the end of the day.
The immersive workshops follow the Artsmark Quality principles – they are engaging and inspiring, encouraging authenticity and collaboration. Pupils will also receive practical advice on how to develop their new skills further.
The school only needs to provide a room, a screen and pens, we will bring microphones and a Bose S1 PA system as well as worksheets. We will provide a risk assessment ahead of each day.
Every workshop produces new pieces of work that students can be proud of and take home with them. It is always a unique and exciting experience for pupils.
Warning – it will be noisy!
