Young Masters is an award-winning visual art school for children mainly between five and 14 years old that runs on a weekly basis in two terms, starting in September and February each year. Both terms end with a free public exhibition of the students’ work at various locations in Bradford and Leeds.
At Young Masters we aim to teach children painting and drawing techniques, sculpture techniques, and art history. We are based in a close proximity to World Heritage Site Salts Mill in Saltaire – Merchants Quay – which is a Grade II listed industrial complex of red brick buildings on the Leeds-Liverpool canal. We also run classes at Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, Leeds. This place is very friendly and welcoming and provides us with a wonderful amenity for inspiration.
Young Masters is the ideal place for young children to discover and develop their natural talent and skills. We provide Level 1 pre-GCSE (age 7-14) and Level 2 GCSE (age 11-14) qualifications.
Young Masters is run by qualified teachers and artists and aims to encourage independent creative thinking and ideas.
