Sam joins us to cover Sarah Beckett’s maternity leave, co-facilitating (with Sarah Mumford) our Diversity & Inclusion Labs. Sam spent six years at ITV, working across several departments while always supporting the diversity journey of ITV. Sam spent her spare time volunteering to run workshops for ITV’s staff and youth talent schemes. She co-chaired ITV’s BAME network group – ITV Embrace. As part of this role, Sam engaged the business on issues around equality, pushing everyone to realise their role in creating change. Sam was particularly passionate about creating change in the Nations and Regions. Sam went on to join Screen Yorkshire to run Beyond Brontes, a programme designed to break down the perceived and actual barriers young people across the Leeds City Region faced when entering into the screen industry. Working on and developing programmes that help diverse talent enter and progress within TV is a passion of Sam’s.
