About the Programme

We inspire young people to engage and explore their creative potential through personalised and wide ranging opportunities to engage with professional creative arts practitioners and organisations.

By placing the young person at the heart of the decision making process, we empower them to take ownership of their creativity and build their confidence so they have the drive and determination to succeed.

Each young person who engages in an IVE CREATIVE programme gains the opportunity to:

  • Undertake our unique Student of Creativity programme, which is proven to improve language development, critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as their creative and entrepreneurial capacities.
  • Access to master classes with leading professionals.
  • Create work or a performance that is shared with the public within a professional environment.
  • Experience cultural events on a national basis.
  • Access workshops geared towards enhancing their employability knowledge and skills.

To ensure they are prepared for progression in their chosen field, each young person is assigned a professional mentor who offers guidance in relation to the possibilities available, and signposts further opportunities to develop experiences. They will also have pastoral mentors to help them keep on track.

Advice and additional experiences also come from sector related partner Higher Education (HE) institutions, who offer opportunities that prepare the young people to access further training.

Opportunities for participants to prepare for employment are also made available through work placements and work shadowing.
