We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual who can play a key strategic role in working with partners from Heritage, Creative Arts and Digital, Higher Education, Youth and Community Services as a project manager.
This is an amazing opportunity to work with a variety of key individuals and organisations to spearhead a new pilot initiative developing innovative approaches to engage young people and communities across Yorkshire with Heritage. This role will deliver the 6 month development phase and if approved, the full 4 year programme.
On behalf of the Heritage Lottery Fund Kick the Dust programme our project ‘Ignite’ will start a revolution in how Yorkshire’s industrial heritage is viewed, understood, appreciated and engaged with by current and future generations of young people and their communities. Heritage partners will pilot new and ambitious ways of engaging young people to ensure a sustainable legacy where young people’s voice, opinion and decision making form an integral part of future organisational focus and strategy.
You will be responsible for co-creating an exciting programme of work based on the needs and interests of young people. You will be shaping partners into a supportive collaborative consortium, sharing best practice and developing ideas and initiatives together. We’re looking for someone who believes in the power of collaboration and who has the passion, insight and persistence to motivate and inspire the best from a broad range of people and organisations.
We’re looking for someone who is highly relational with experience of managing partnerships with a variety of people and organisations. You should be able to articulate a broad vision and be creative in how to practically realise it. More than anything, you should be passionate about the transformational power of Heritage, the arts and culture on the lives of young people and be able to advocate for this both in person and through digital channels.
